Samsung 550P5C (NP-550P5C-T02PL) - Ubuntu 13.04 - Nvidia Drivers problem +
drain baterry
I'm new to Ubuntu/Linux world. I currently installed Ubuntu next to Win 7
to test it. After installing I wanted to install Nvidia drivers (Optimus)
I read that I should go to Settings > Updated > Additional Updates and
install drivers. But.. There is nothing. Blank page.
So I used
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
but after this Unity disappeared and I reinstalled the system, because I
couldn't fix this.
Second problem is baterry drain. On Win7 I have about 3-4 hours but on
Ubuntu it's about 1,5. Hmm I don't like it.
Besides system looks great and I will definitely inspect it more. But
currently this problem make this system insecure for me. I don't think I
can switch to it.
Can you help me ?
